Tucker....

.... I head this song today on my way back from the grocer........ and wow, I must not have heard it in years....... but what a great tune......

.... there is just something about the guitar that drives the whole thing...... the lyrics?..... nah....... they lack a bit........ but the music just sticks in my head........ as a guitarist, I think that I was born to play rhythm.......

..... enjoy.....

...... music is amazing....... all of it..... I wonder why more rock bands don't have wind instruments these days?.......

Mmmmm...Marshall Tucker...now you're talking my language.

Back in the day, they made for great Friday night, shooting pool with friends after a long workweek, smoky barroom music (we can't smoke in bars anymore).

We had a guy who was into Southern rock, and we gladly let him dominate the jukebox. I've won so many games to "Fire on the Mountain" and "Dreams" by the Allmans.

I miss that stuff.

Interesting thing is...Toy Caldwell never used a pick..another interesting thing...I got all tore up...and I mean tore up as tore up can be...with him and his boys one night...another interesting thing...he served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam and was injured in 1967.

Who says a patriot can't rock...

That just @#$%ing rocks.

"Long Hard Ride" gets played occasionally (in my car - great driving song)...MTB greatest hits is one of the best CDs I own.

Then there's this version of Free Bird with more emphasis on the piano:

They've been touring lately but there's only one original member.

I heard reports that it ain't the same at all.

You wanna know why more rick don't have wind instruments these days?......., I'll tell you why... Danged ol' roadies can't put 'em in their mouths facing the right for playing. I mean, let's say somebody punch a kazoo in a piehole backerds... That's a show killer now...

Ask Denny... ;)
