Hmmm.. you might think he's conservative, but really he's a Euro loving, EU-phile in Conservative clothing. He's just denounced his wish to take the UK into the Euro, 'cause he knows that wouldn't wash with the Tory faithful.
I'll grant that he IS entertaining (who doesn't love a whisky drinking smoker?) and he's not as much a traitor to the Tory cause as is Michael Heseltine.
